Mike Osteen presents Rev. John Younginer with the Sandhills District Service to ManKind

The Highest award that can be presented by a SERTOMA Club is the Service To Mankind Award for the community. The SERTOMA Club of North Augusta honored another member of our community for their service to ManKind on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at Old McDonald Fish Camp.  Reverend John Madison Younginer, Jr. of North Augusta, SC received the honor for 2011.

Reverend Younginer has always been willing and capable to do whatever needs to be done to assist his fellow man and make his community, wherever that community might be, a better place to live for everyone. John Younginer was also given the Service To ManKind award from the SERTOMA Sandhill District too.

We are privileged to have been able to nominate many leaders of our community. The list, extending back some 35 years, is nothing short of amazing. Our Club is proud to have been able to recognize the following individuals as our Club’s Service To Mankind Award recipients. These individuals have contributed greatly and unselfishly to the community and the community is a better place because of their service.

SERTOMA Club of North Augusta Launches New Website

North Augusta, SC—The SERTOMA Club of North Augusta (SCNA) is delighted to announce the launch of a totally new website exclusively for SCNA.

The new site provides visitors with a complete overview of this civic minded organization, The site was designed as a dual purpose site. One goal was to provide the public with information on what SCNA does as an organization and how they contribute back to the community. The other goal was to provide the members an area to share information and to keep up with the club’s activities.

The SERTOMA Club of North Augusta is a dedicated group of professionals with a common goal of helping people through local charities and organizations, with a focus on the areas of speech and the hearing impaired. Over the years they have raised more than $1,100,000 for those causes. The SERTOMA Club of North Augusta is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and all donations are tax deductible.

They are charted by Sertoma International. It is a civic organization with 20,000-plus members in nearly 700 clubs across Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico and the United States. Every year, Sertoma clubs raise more than $20 million for community needs. Through these projects, as well as scholarships and grants, Sertoma clubs return those funds to their respective communities – and they have lots of fun doing it!

The SERTOMA Club of North Augusta meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month at 6:30 p.m. till 8:30 p.m. at The Public Safety Hut in North Augusta. If you are interested in joining the SERTOMA Club of North Augusta, please contact us to find out how.
