Gene Lott's Sister, Caroline Woodward has passed away.  Please keep Gene and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Funeral services will be Thursday Feb. 1st at 2:00 PM at the Bethel Baptist Church in Aiken.

Our Annual Sertoma Club Valentines Party will be held on February 16, 2018

THIS YEAR'S PARTY WILL BE BIGGER AND BETTER THAN EVER.  YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS IT.

One of our members, Bobby Walker, has graciously offered to let us use his establishment on Magnolia Drive in Augusta for our annual Valentines Party.

Location:    Magnolia Manor on Magnolia Drive in Augusta

Time:          Social Hour will be 06:30 PM

Menu:         Hor d'ouevres, Beef Tenderloin Steaks, Stuffed Mushrooms, Potato Bar, Bread and Desserts.  This will be a "Sit Down" Meal

The bar will be open as usual at 6:30 PM

There be music by a DJ and the always popular Photo Booth

There is no cost to members and you may bring a guest couple is they are prospective new members.

Bring your sweetheart and wine and dine and dance.

For many years, our civic minded club has held an annual banquet where we present our "Service To Manking Award" to a deserving member of our community.  We would like to do this again this upcoming year.  We are in need of nominees.  We are asking our members to submit candidates for this award. Please thiink of any individuals (Teachers, Pastors, Doctors, Neighbors, Community Leaders, etc) that you think would be worthy of the reward and give the name(s) to Kevin Gillian or any member of the board.

Our club fiscal year starts July 1.  At that time, everyone ows \$300  (\$220 for life time members).  Some members pay the whole amount and some pay by quarter which is okay so  long as they pay in a timely manner.

All of our club meeting expenses(food,, drink, insurance, membership payments to Sertoma Inc.,building cleanup, et.) come out of our "Operating Account".  None of it comes out of our "Charity Accounts".  The money in the "Operating Account" comes from dues payments.

A big problem we have is that several times a year, we have members that don't pay any dues and then sometime later in the fiscal year for various reasons, they say they want to drop out of the club.  Meanwhile, we have paid their dues to Sertoma Inc. and several other expenses and that is a loss to the club. We ask them to pay their back dues, usually with no success and we don't use a collection agency.

For this fiscal year, we have 33 members who have not paid any dues and 6 that have made some quarterly payments.

For the good of the club, please make an effort to pay your dues on time.
