General Meeting Celebrating our 40th Anniversary – Thursday, December 1, 2011
Location: North Augusta Public Safety Hut
Happy Hour: 6:30 – 7:30 with Steamed Oysters
Dinner: Whenever the bell rings (7:30)
Menu: Steaks with Salad – Baked Potatoes – Rolls – Cake and Ice Cream

We will be celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the SERTOMA Club of North Augusta!!
On December 3 1971, the Sertoma Club of North Augusta held its charter meeting with 47 members. That first meeting was at the North Augusta Country Club. We continued to meet there for over 35 years until an unfortunate fire destroyed the Clubhouse in 2007. Of the original 47 charter members, several are still members and active.
Please come join us for this special meeting.

The 2011 Service to Mankind Banquet is Wednesday – November 16, 2011 at Old McDonald Fish Camp. This is one of the biggest events that the Sertoma Club of North Augusta puts on each year. We would like to have as many members attend this event as possible. This is the event where we honor a member of our community for their service to ManKind! All past honorees are invited and most do attend. We want to be able to show these outstanding individuals how much we appreciate their efforts by having a large turnout of Sertoma members.
This banquet is FREE to members and spouses/dates. The cost per person is EXPENSIVE, but the club is picking up the full tab. With that in mind WE do need an accurate head count. If you have brought guests in the past trying to get them to join the Sertoma club, they are invited to attend the 2011 Service To ManKind Banquet too. However, they will have to have a signed application already on file or they can bring one to the Banquet.
If you plan on attending, please send an email to scna@northaugustasertoma.org. Please be sure to let us know if you are bringing a Spouse or Date.
Social Hour: 6:00pm – 7:00pm
Dinner: 7:00pm
Program: The program will start around 7:45 to 8:00pm and it will last 30 minutes maximum.

A lot of folks raised there hands at the meeting last night (11/3/2011) indicating they would like to come to the Sertoma Breakfast at the University Hospital Speech and Hearing Center on Wednesday 11/9/11 at 8:00am. We would love to have a good show of Sertomans, so everyone that wanted to go, please show up. There will be a breakfast, tours of facility, questions and answers, etc. There will be news photographers, etc. University Hospital has done this in the past. It is their way of showing us where our money is being spent.

Take 13th Street Bridge towards Downtown Augusta.
Turn Right on Reynolds Street and get in your far left lane. (First Red Light after crossing Bridge)
Take Left on St. Sebastian Way (This is the new Road they built that takes you straight into the University Medical Area)
Once you cross over Walton Way look for the Emergency Room Entrance on the Left you will then Turn right onto Harper Street.
There will be a Doctors office complex on the left (Red Brick Buildings)
Office is marked as University Hospital Speech and Hearing Center (across from OB/GYN clinic)
There will be a large white van (speech and hearing van) in front of offices.
